Brooklyn-based producers Matt Young and Grant Wheeler have no shortage of musical outfits.  As the purveyors of acts like Body Language, Vacationer, and Xan Young, their creative spectrum seems limited only by the sands in the hourglass.  Enter Hypercolor.  Woven from a sugar rush of bright synths, slinking sub basses and sparkling percussion, the duo holds a prism up to constellations of electronic marimbas and xylophones sending sound skittering against the warmest backdrop.  Their vocalist-du-jour, always in the foreground, delivers tales of many things both lofty and humble: love and longing, anthropomorphism, or emerging from the primordial cauldrons of life-creating ooze.

Lewis Lane

Lewis’ Lane's sultry soul-pop is anchored by her commanding voice, which imbues Lana Del Rey’s seductive coyness with Adele’s power. Lewis Lane - the moniker of Brooklyn- based singer Katherine Smith - crafts genre-bending songs that bridge the gap between soul, mowtown, and pop, lacing old school grooves with layered melodic hooks grounded in contemporary production. Lewis Lane’s EP “Take” (produced by recording artist Luke Moellman of the band Great Good Fine OK) has garnered over 135,000 plays on Soundcloud, with the song “Low” quickly rising to the #3 spot on blog aggregator Hypemachine. The title track “Take” was featured on Spotify’s prominent playlist New Music Fridays, hitting 90,000 plays in 1 week. Ambré is a bold and unique songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Her catalog transcends boundaries and limitations in the most beautifully honest way. At 17, she met her now producer and engineer, Erick Bardales. They began working together out of pure fun and the natural chemistry, which led them to create the “Wanderlust” mixtape together. After the release of the mixtape in 2015, fellow up and coming artist, Kehlani, extended a welcoming arm to Ambré to be a part of her TSNMI movement. They then created a remix of “PREACH” which garnered a lot of attention and praises from fans. Shortly after, she offered Ambré to go with her on her summer YSBH tour. With a growing fan base and momentum, Ambré, still independent, began working on her second mixtape “2090’s”, which she released in April of 2016. The tape gained the attention of blogs such as Sways Universe and huge support from her peers and fans.
